Transcript of Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe "Scorching my seared heart with a pain, not hell shall make me fear again. " - Edgar Allan Poe
The Artistic Composer
1809-1849 He wrote about the undying truth about life. The insisting agony of the world. His technical and abstract view of things gained him the attention and praise of people around the world But even many great poets have downfalls and gambling was one of his. He began to run out of money for college so he began to gamble. He even ran to the extremes of burning his fellow furniture to keep warm during winter. After awhile he began to fall in debt and his godfather refused to pay. Thus resulting in his expulsion from college. "Beauty of whatever kind, in its supreme development, invariably excites the sensitive soul to tears."- Edgar Allan Poe His smooth lines and lovely stanzas considered him apart of the American Romantic Movement. "Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality."- Edgar Allan Poe He even resorted to having a drinking problem. Found said delirous and crazed wandering the streets, Edgar Allan Poe was taken to the hospital. On October 7, 1849 Edgar was declared dead. Some say that alcohol lead to death, some say brain damage, but we will never be sure, because he died before he could ever explain what happened to him. Even after his death many people still admire and appreciate his work and they still will after decades and decades to come. For he is Edgar Allan Poe, the artistic composer. "Edgar Allan Poe."
