introduction to photography

Motors factory in his home
town His works consist mostly of
nature and industrial. He takes
pictures of mines, landscapes
and manufacturing plants Some of His Works Iberia Quarry #3 Mines #43 Homesteads #32 Burtynsky is on the board
of directors for the Toronto
Photography Festival and is
an icon among photographers
in Toronto His pictures are in
over 50 major museums
worldwide He studied graphic arts and photography in University He has made two
documentaries in the
past five years Manufactured Landscapes Water:
Our Thirsty World More Pictures Container Port No. 8 Railcuts #3 Manufacturing #16 Rock of Ages #1 He graduated from
Ryerson University in
1982 Burtynsky takes majority
of his pictures with a large field
camera. He has recently switched
to a digital camera
