Donald L. Campbell Born August 5th,1942 Died September 1 , 2002 Died September 1 , 2002 Born in Clinton , Iowa August 5th , 1904 died September 1st , 2002. Was an American Chemical Engineer. He was on a team with 3 other scientists for devloping fluid catalytic cracking process in 1942. He made an invention especially important for WWI I to use agianst allies' planes. When he was little, he always loved inventions and sloving problems. He was also a Flimmaker & in other science fields. Famous for method of, Apparatus for Contacting Solids & Gases. Attended Iowa State University , MIT , and Harvard Buisness School. Was Vice President of New Fields of Science. When in Industry was called "Four Horsemen" with the other scientists. His wife was Elizabeth Duff Campbell , had a son & daughter , 8 grand-children , & 9 great grand-children.
