Reading/Writing TLW be able to successfully read a story of their choice. TLW be able to successfully relate the premise of their chosen story to the class. Where do stories come from? TLW be asked to look up one word on the computer dictionary they were not familiar with while reading their story and print it out. From this a spelling test will be created for a later assessment. TLW be asked to successfully complete the web quest Alphabet Soup.
TLW participate in Smartboard lesson letter matching. Activities in Kindergarten are perfect ways to assess prior knowledge. Alphabet Wars
Sowell Spelling Test Use of Resource Room Aides for help with Reading Gifted Students helping students with special needs. Translator Standards Standard 4: Summarize the ideas, events or information in the text and determine the main ideas and themes.
Standard 6: Analyze the traits, motivations, and thoughts of individuals in fiction and nonfiction based on how they are described, what they say and do, and how they interact.
Standard 10: Interpret data, graphics, and words in text, and combine these elements of information to achieve comprehension.

Standard 3: Model digital age work and learning. The young mind is a sponge and pathways in the brain are forming at a constant and rapid rate.
