The purpose of substance abuse prevention is to promote health,
security and welbeing

promoting substance free lifestyle,
preventing and reducing substance abuse harm and
by increasing the understanding
and management of
substanse abuse phenomenom

The levels of influencing are individual,

and society as a whole.
Methods and targets
are selected on the basis of what are the best ways to make a difference.

Objectives and evaluation
Each target group has its own objectives

Protective factors – Self-esteem

Protective factors – Attitudes
Adults:
Supporting parents' substance abuse education at home and providing opportunity to equal discussion online

Evaluation is carried out according to the following criteria:
Quantitative:
Visitor Statistics, inputs
Qualitative:
Customer satisfaction, customer panel, content analysis
Work approach
Based on knowledge
Researched data, diversity, sources, expert quests

Entertainment
Voluntary, surveys, design, games and quizzes, courage

Equality
Own names and photos, safety, moderation, freedom of opinion

Quality control
Structured, customer surveys, self-evaluation, the expert visitors
Social media
Reactive social media
We are where discussion is needed

Reacting to themes that emerge from the people

We discuss both in our own discussions and in discussions initiated by others

We bring reason to discussion and try to put out flames where needed

Differs from the traditional media because all users can produce content and comment/share etc. content

More than half of people in Finland are social media users
Youth lead the way
In the adult population men are slower to move to social media than women, but the gap is closing
In 2014 49 % of men and 52 % of women used social media (nowadays maybe 70 %)
The use of social media covers whole Finland
Use rate is slightly lower in small municipalities
