Functions is defined as (1) a special relationship where each input has a single output.
TODAY I WILL BE GIVING YOU THREE EXAMPLE PROBLEMS OF FUNCTIONS USING DECIMALS FRACTIONS AND WHOLE NUMBERS AND I WILL EXPLAIN HOW I DID IT.
f(x)= 13.42 + 7.63x - 2.59= 41.35
First Problem and Explanation
f(x) = 5/22x / 2/7 = 35/66
Second Problem and Explanation
So i got my answer by first solving x for 7.63x which came to be 30.52. Then i went back and added 13.42 by 30.52 which came to be 43.94. After that i subtracted 43.94 by 2.59 and my total came up to 41.35.
So I first solved the x in 5/22 which gave me 10/66 .Then I simplified that by two which ended up being 5/33. So after doing all of that i re-did my problem you know there's no such thing as dividing fractions so i changed my division sign into a multiplication sign. Then i flipped my second fraction to 7/2 you know reciprocal. So basically i KCF =keep. change. flip. then i multiplied which gave me a total of 35/66. my answer i hope i'm right.
Third Problem and Explanation
f(x)= 12x + 4x - 3x= 156
First off i solved all my x's which gave me 144+48-36.
So I added 144 + 48 which gave me 192 then i subtracted 36 which gave me a total of 156 thats my answer .
