DISTRIBUTION OF RESPONDENTS The researchers will undergo data gathering in Agoo Academy through the utilization of the total population sampling since there were a few number of respondents present in the institute. The person in charge, staff and faculty members that will be chosen will serve as the respondents of the study because they are involve in the process of preparing payroll reports.
The researchers will interview Mr. Silver Estorco, OIC Principal of Agoo Academy, who will present the requirements of the system to be developed. He is also the one who is in charge to manipulate the system.
Table 1 show the distribution of respondents who will contribute in the determination of the problems encountered of Agoo Academy in their current payroll and the usability of the software that will be developed. Table 2 shows the Likert Scale. It is a type of psychometric response scale often used in questionnaires, and is the most widely used scale in survey research.
In every problem, the respondents will rank the items as to how serious they will consider the problem is. The answers that will be gathered from the respondents will be analyze by getting the mean to further understand the derived answer of the respondents about their problems they will encounter in the existing status of payroll of Agoo Academy, the Likert scale will be used with the corresponding descriptive rating and interpretation.
Scale value consists of the numbers from 1-5 in wherein the respondents will use to rate the degree of seriousness of the problem that will be encountered in the existing payroll process. Each number has a corresponding descriptive rating. All responses within the scale value of 5 has an interval of 4.20-5.00 with a descriptive rating of Very Serious; 4 has an interval of 3.40-4.19 with a descriptive rating of Serious; 3 has an interval of 2.60-3.39 with a descriptive rating of Moderately Serious; 2 has an interval of 1.80-2.59 with a descriptive rating of Slightly Serious, and lastly 1 has an interval of 1.00-1.79 with a descriptive rating of Not Serious.
For the usability of the developed Payroll System of Agoo Academy, another questionnaire will be given to ensure that the developed system provides the satisfaction of the client. Likert Scale will be used once more to gain the interpretation of the respondent’s answers. LIKERT SCALE LEVEL OF USABILITY In building the Integrated Payroll System for Agoo Academy, the researchers will develop their own model that will be named as “Stair Model”. It is named Stair because like a stair, it represents the different stages that you need to pass through, to proceed into another stage. Likewise in the successful development of this study it will come up with a better and good output. Another reason why the researchers will utilize the stair model is because it is simple, convenient to use and easy to understand. The stair model will be developed by Rose R. Basbas, Melanie C. Laron, Mervic J. Merilo, Judel C. Rivera, Jessie B. Ferraro 2012. Its interrelated phases, Requirements Analysis, Planning, System Design, System Testing and Deployment.
The researchers come up with this model based on how they studied the things to be done in conducting the research. They derived the stair model from the ideas of Laron et al., (Rainbow Model).
