Hello! We are Paula, Sílvia, Oihane and Laïs.
And now we will present our presentation of
the north of Ireland.

We hope you like it.

Northern Ireland is situated in the northeast of the island of Ireland. Is near of Great Britain, Wales, Scotland and England. This countries are in the UK.
In 1801 the whole of Ireland became part of the United Kingdom, with the adoption of the name the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
The Giant's Causeway
Most of the basalt columns are hexagonal in shape.
The Giant's Causeway, situated on the North East coast of Northern Ireland, is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption.
Albert Memorial Clock is a tower, was built between 1855 and 1870, as a memorial to Queen Victoria. The tower does 113 meters high. Have in one side a statue of Prince Albert.

The main river in Ireland is the River Shannon, 386 km (240 miles), which is the longest in both the Republic of Ireland
The largest lake in the Republic of Ireland is the Lough Corrib, located in the west of the country and an area of ​​about 165.6 km ².

Dunluce Castle (from Irish: Dún Libhse) is a now-ruined medieval castle in Northern Ireland. It is located on the edge of a basalt outcropping in County Antrim.
