Introducing Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village with a long history located between Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeok Palace and Jongmyo Royal Shrine. The traditional village is composed of lots of alleys, hanok and is preserved to show a 600-year-old urban environment. Now it is used as a traditional culture center and hanok restaurant, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of the Joseon Dynasty.
Q : Where are you from?
A : From Malaysia.
Q : Whom did you come with and what did you do?
A : I came with my friends and we walk around and sightseeing.
Q : What makes you visit here?
A : Because of beauty and traditional sights.
Q : What makes this place special?
A : All these traditional buildings and some shops, too.
Q : May I ask you why?
A : Here, many shops are mixed with western and Korean. I like that.
Q : The last question. Have you ever heard of any interesting stories about here?
A : Hmm... I heard there is a beautiful high school. (Choongang high school)

Bukchon Traditional Culture Center
The Bukchon Traditional Culture Center was opened in order to offer a chance to share the better traditional cultural programs with visitors.
Originally, this place was the residence of the family in charge during the last days of the Joseon Dynasty.
The house has a public information hall which shows the entire history and value of Bukchon. There you can find information on Bukchon tours.

Traditional Workshops
In Bukchon, there are many workshops where you can see, touch, and made Korean tradition. In Donglime Maedeup Workshop, you can made a beautiful strip accessories called Maedeup. If you are interested in Korean traditional art, you can visit Gahoe Minhwa Workshop. You can color on Minwha and made your own goods.

Bukchon 8 Views
Bukchon is famous for beautiful and traditional views. So many Hanoks(traditional house) are surrounding the whole area. Seoul selected the most beautiful views where you can feel the true beautiful of Bukchon.

A : It's my last day of business trip, so I came here alone and just sightseeing.

A : I want to see traditional architectures and walk around Seoul.

A : I think people in here.
Q : Interesting! Why?
A : Because people are so friendly and they speak English better than China. (Laughing)

A : Hmm... let me see...

A : I heard one from my Korean coworker, but I forgot.

At first, it thought will be boring task. But wandering and picturing Bukchon, I became like this task. The scenery of Bukchon was so wonderful with fallen leaves. I felt unwind to see those views. It was also a good experience that interviewing people in street. I was pleasured to listen others different opinions. I can't stand to pick guys up to Bukchon!

I thought also it is boring task to introduce Bukchon Hanok Village even that I am Korean, But when I searh more about B.H.V, I realized that this place is more interesting that I thought. So I assume to go B.H.V with other people will be joyful.
