Fraction
A number that is not whole using a numerator and deominator.

Rate
A compairison using a colon, slash or to, typically money.
Numerator
The top of a fraction, above the denominator.
Ratio
A compairison between two numbers using a colon, slash or to.
Equalivent Ratio
Two ratios that are the same, just written differently. Ex. 2:3 = 4:6

A ratio that helps you switch from one unit to another
Unit Rate
A comparison of two quanities
Absolute Value
a denominater is the number below the line in common fraction
the magnitude of a real number without regard to its sign.
Rational Numbers
A number that is predictable, can be placed on a number line specifically, + and - whole numbers, fractions.
Set
A collection of distinct objects
Subset
Ex: if a is a subset, it is contained inside b, the superset.

integer
is a whole number that is not an fraction. or a thing complete in itself
negative integer
is an integer to the left of zero on the number line. it is less than zero
Point on a Line
A point on a number line that marks a certain number.
Number Line
opposite number
A line with arrows on each side representing infinitile numbers, that you mark certain points (numbers) on.
every number has an opposite. ther is a negitive and a positive for every number on the numberline .
addition property of oposites
a positive plus its oposite makes 0
Conversion Factor
An arithmetical multiplier for converting a quantity expressed in one set of units into an equivalent expressed in another.
double number line
is a numberline with a scale on tope and a diffrent scale on the bottom so that you can organize and compare items
a natural number with a value greater than zero
