Chapter: Military Life In 1990 President George Bush proved his presidency by sending troops to Eastern Countries for the first time in history. Gulf War:Operation Desert Storm lasted from 1990-1992. "I wanted to make something of my life, and I didn't have the resources to do so. " Q: How was your family supportive of this?
A: My family wasn't supportive. So I didn't tell them I was going in the Army till the day I deployed for boot camp. Boot Camp in Germany from 1888-1990 " We had just arrived to NM from boot camp to see our families, and then they told us don't unpack your bags, tomorrow were deploying to Saudi Arabia." He fought in Saudi Arabia from 1990 to 1992 as a Combat Engineer. . "As a combat engineer, we dealt with the most casualties from explosives. Seven men were assigned per M728,they were like my brothers. Only three of us made it home." Saudi Arabia " Even knowing what I know today, I would still have made the same choices I did then."
