and is more than 5 meters wide Fun Facts The Arc de Triomphe
was designed
in 1806 by Jean Chalgrin Jean Chalgrin
died in 1811. In the early 1960's the Arc de
Triomphe got very dirty
from coal , soot, and automobile
exhaust It was cleaned during
1965-1966 with bleach In 1982, a new arch was built. It is called the
Grandearch de la Defense 1982 Beneth the Arc de Triomphe is the tomb of the
unknown soldier from World War 1 The Unknown Soldier The unknown solider was burried
here on Armistic day in 1920. The Unknown Solider . . . Continued . . . The End
