What is a life worth?

What is time magazine?
Time magazine is a very well known and affluent publication containing many articles about news today.
It contains exposes, interviews, national and international news about technology and politics.
In Each article in our section they both viewed life economically, and not philosophically.
Here we see a typical installment of Time Magazine. It includes things from pop culture (Tony Stark aka Iron Man) and world news (the crisis in Egypt)

The value of life cannot be summed up in a dollar amount. Although a family members death can bring some financial problems to the family, those dont even compare to the feeling of despair by the personal loss and the government check is nearly offensive.
In "What Is a Life Worth?", written by Amanda Ripley, this article speaks about putting a price tag on a human life. Ripley speaks about how the government had created a method to compensate the families of the victims of 9/11. Throughout the article Ripley shows examples of various citizens views on the government's actions.
