Can we use past history to solve our current climate change problem?
What is the evidence for climate change?
Will technology be the solution to climate change?
How will the climate change effect the economy in the future?
What Are The Effects Of Climate Change On The Environment?
How fast is technology advancing?
No exact prediction of the advancement of technology
Technology has advanced in the past decade
Recently there has been a big change
Phones have advanced from brick to touch screen
What are some other options for us to use to combat climate change?
China has developed new technology to fight climate change
Adam Matthews, Secretary General of Globe International belives that new technology will help
Such co-operation could build low carbon industries in both regions
What is the economy?
The economy is a system consisting of processes and players (Buisiness study, ND)
It can be split into three sections.
The economy is the sum of many parts (Ewan W. 2000)
Is our economy growing?
Does Climate Change currently effect the economy?
What are politicians doing for climate change?
Yes, the world economy is growing (tranding economics, ND)
This can be analysed through GDP
Every year the GDP is recorded
Is our climate changing too fast for us to
Yes, Climate Change is effecting the economy now ( Ehren Goossens, 2012)
The average temperature over the years is getting hotter.
Earth-orbiting satellites and other technological advances have enabled scientists to see the big picture, collecting many different types of information about our planet and its climate on a global scale
Australia's, UK's and USA's GDP are rising (The Australian, 2014), (Trading Economics. ND), (Holehouse M. 2014,)
Climate Change effects the production of food and drives up prices (Fiona Harvey, 2012)
Earth is experiencing the biggest changes in climate.
Reports of climate changes effect on the economy
Politcicians are hosting events climate change conventions to raise awareness (Daniel Hurst, 2014)
Is Deforestation A Cause Of Climate Change?
Trying to get the support of more powerful politicians.
Barak Obama has decided to change climate change policy (Whitehouse, 2013)
Deforestation leading cause of climate change

Require aggresive mitigation
(Christopher Field, scientist)
"As a part of the Copenhagen Climate Summit the Chinese committed to cut their carbon pollution intensity by 40-45% below 2005 levels by 2020. Intense action is happening throughout the country to meet these targets." -Jake Schmidt, International Climate Policy Director, Washington, DC
Will coal be replaced with solar panels?
In 2012, 3.5 million megawatt-hour(Mwh) was produced by solar panels. In 2013, that number more than doubled to 8.3 Mwh
Big Coal gets 2 billion taxpayers money every year
Solar panel industries only receive 300 million
Coal will run out in 2130 worldwide
(World Coal Association)
The pace of change will be at least 50 times and possibly 100 times swifter than what's occurred in the past
(Christopher Field, scientist)
How much did people understand of climate change back when it was discovered?
Carbon stored inside soil and trees
Deforestation for agriculture, roads, urban sprawl (WWF. ND)
90 billion tonnes of carbon stored in amazon
All carbon in Amazon released = global warming up 50% (World Preservation Foundation. ND)
How Much Of Our Environment Is Going To Be Affected By Climate Change?
Climate going to affect our environment, oceans, weather, ecosystems, temperature, living creatures, etc.
Sea levels rise 18 - 59 centimetres by end of century.
Quelccya ice caps in Peru will disappear in 2100.
(National Geographic. ND)

Will technology be the
solution to climate change?
Yes. As new technologies are invented and made, there will be something that will help us adapt and mitigate or even stop climate change.
Changing ecosystems threatens lives of many species. (EPA. 2014)
What Are The Damages Of Climate Change To Our Environment?
Australia's worst drought in 2002 from global warming. (WWF. ND)
How will Climate Change effect the economy in the future?
In the future climate change will effect the annual GDP, up to 3%. Although our economy is growing so is the effect of climate change on the economy. More politicians are trying to get the support of other powerful politicians, and in the future we will most likely have more support from politicians around the globe.
Our Product: Tree
A plant which:
Can survive without water and is heat resistent
Changes carbon dioxde into oxygen
Against the law to cut down
More than 17,000 Indonesian islands at high risk from being submerged.
Indonesia's largest contribution to climate change is deforestation.
Ice on rivers and lakes breaking up sooner.
Plant and animal ranges have shifted
Plants and trees blooming earlier.
What Is Being Done To Help Us Sustain Our Environment?
WWF has a programme tackling deforestation.
Advancing in science to further develop technology. (EPA. ND)
Controlling of carbon emissions by industries.
Promoting new ideas for green business practices.
What Are The Effects Of Climate Change On The Environment?
Climate change is effecting our environment on a global scale. Climate change causes sea ice to melt, rising the sea levels and the loss of land for Arctic land wildlife, their environment. Glaciers melting can mean the loss of a fresh water supply whilst the increase of sea levels. Effecting the weather causes environments to be altered (droughts, temperature, floods, etc.) leading to the change of entire ecosystems.

People had different opinions, some scientists thought that the globe would go into another ice age but the majority say the globe is warming.
New York Times, Time Magazine, Newsweek
In 2003 in the UK people started a climate change campaign to make a law that would make it a legal requirement for the government to cut the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by 3 percent year on year.
They want to prevent climate change from getting worse.
The government has agreed to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 60% by 2050
What have we done to prevent climate change in the past?
How fast has the average temperature gone up overtime?
From 1960 the temperature has skyrocketed quickly
Groups (NASA,NCDC) have calculated that world is getting warmer.
Can we use past history to solve climate change?
Yes, because there is alot evidence of climate change.
Financial Press, ND
Our group has hypothesised that our current continutation of climate change, will effect the economy and the environment. However, with the advance of technology we can find a solution.
Involve different sets values and many differet players (Eco, 2013)
Releases cold air to cool temperture
