Transcript of rajiyah's schoolhouse

There were different
enter and exits for boys
and girls it was a wooden schoolhouse. The teacher pulled the rope
to ring the bell of the schoolhouse.
Students brought their own slates and soap stone, they wrote on slate and wrote with soap stone. GLOSSARY wooden schoolhouse Slates and soap stone Because it was not made
out of bricks like today. They used slates and soapstone because
they did not want to waste the paper
so they write with slates and soap stone One room schoolhouse A one room schoolhouse is just like one room. THE END The school house was held in a settler's house ,the general store or church before a school house was built. The school house was simple log cabins with a big box stove in the middle. The students sat on two or three rows of benches and worked at a big table. The floor was dirt and the windows were covered with oiled paper.
