Teacher Survey
Please answer all of the following questions to the best of your ability.
Tissues and color copy paper will be turned into your 1st period teacher.
Glue, pencil top erasers, pencils, sharpener, crayons, markers, map pencils, pens and scissors can stay in your zipper pouch or backpack.
You will keep one
composition notebook
and a
pocket folder
in my room (they will not go home).
Turn in one
package of notebook paper

7th Grade Math Class
Please find your seat using the number you were given at the door.
Work on the back to school word search quietly at your desk.
If you brought supplies with you, keep them at your desk. We will collect those later.
About Mrs. Brooks...
I am married to my husband of 14 years, Brian. We have three children, Trace 12, Parker 10 and Audrey 8.

I have one sister, Jessica who teaches 5th grade science in Hallsville, TX.

Graduated from Howard Payne University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2013 with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.
Taught 1st grade, 6th grade science/math and 7th grade math in Crowley, Longview and Texarkana.

Classroom Procedures...
I will collect homework and most other assignments from you. Sometimes I will ask you to turn it into your class drawer.
Late work will be penalized 20 points per day it is late and will be given a zero on the 3rd day for Pre-AP and the 5th day for Math 7.
You are dismissed by the teacher and not by the bell. Please remain seated until you are given directions to get up.
Classroom Expectations
I will keep my hands, feet, mouth and objects to myself
I will raise my hand for permission to speak or leave my seat.
I will treat myself, others, and their property with respect.
I will follow directions the first time given.
I will not have food, candy or personal items (phones, head phones, etc.) out in class.
Classroom Procedures
Enter the classroom quietly, place backpacks on back wall, get out your pencil bag (necessary supplies) and your composition notebook/folder, have a seat and get started on the warm-up.
Sharpen pencils at the beginning of class. No more than 3 people at the pencil sharpener at a time.
Restroom breaks are from 7:30-8:00, during 2nd period, electives and lunch. You should not need to leave during class to use the restroom.
