Calculus in Mechanical Engineering
Yes, calculus is involved in mechanical engineering
The majority of mechanical engineering is applying calculus and other mathematical subjects to the laws of nature
Examples of Calculus in Mechanical Engineering
There are many classes required to obtain a mechanical engineering degree

Here are some examples
Physics
Calculus 1, 2, and 3
Differential Equations
The Navier-Stokes Equation describes the motion of fluid substances
V is velocity
P is pressure
The Navier-Stokes Equation can be used to do many things such as:
model the weather
ocean currents
water flow in a pipe
air flow around a wing
Just to name a few subjects, calculus is involved in:
Heat Transfer
The application of calculus to determine the distribution of heat on a surface (i.e. designing a satellite able to travel through the stratosphere)
Fluid Mechanics
How a fluid moves throughout time (i.e the navier-stokes equation)
Turbulence
How air waves cause and affect flying objects (i.e. taking into account turbulance while you're designing NASA's next rocketship)
