Tomorrow's Challenge
3 Technologies to shape our classrooms
Biometrics:
The technology of the future that will allow technology to distinguish physical and behavioral traits in students. In other words technology will be able to comprehend the child's emotional and physical state of mind within the classroom (Grantham,2012).
Will history be around?!?!?
We all know history is not part of a school's core curriculum, nor is it on many of the standardized tests.
The importance of History
Yes, getting students into History will be a continuing battle, but a battle that I am willing to fight year after year and day after day.

Technology in the Classroom
As educators of young minds we will always be students, but no matter where we are we will also be in a classroom. Our environment is our classroom.
I have a fear of the technology that we have now, but not because I am afraid of technology. I am more worried not knowing how to use technology effectively.
There are benefits to technology! Twitter followers offer educational articles and even give websites that allow teachers to learn how to better integrate technology.
Augmented Reality Eye-Wear:
"Imagine having an AR Benjamin Franklin sitting at your desk explaining the Declaration of Independence" (Grantham,2012).
Multi-Touch Surfaces:
We already have touch phones, touch TV's, and touch tablets. But as we progress further in the future those technologies will only become more powerful (Grantham,2012).

Soon we will be seeing/using smartphones within our classes.
My challenge as I move to becoming a full time teacher is that history classes will dwindle and be cut.
Unlike core classes such as math, science, and English which happen to require 4 years history is only required 3 of the 4 years of high school.

Majority of students do not even care for history how will this impact my career?
History not only is about studying the past, but also giving us the skills to our current and future problems, however most students do not understand the significance of history.
If you do not know your past, then you do not know your future!!!
