Transcript of Green day

Green Day Do you know your enemy This is a song about
not listening to the crap on TV that the media portrays, and recognizing that you never know who your enemy is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Green_Day Green Day has won so
many awards its not
even funny anymore.
look at how many
awards they've
won. American idiot This song is about a rebellion. The bad
words and stuff idicates that
its a mean song obviously.
Its also about love life. I
think the tune is good but it is
inappropriate. Green Day, which
used to be Sweet
Children, started out as three friends playing at school. They played at clubs in the Berkley California area. In the 80's Sweet Children replaced the original drummer, and renamed their band to Green Day. Punk Now many
teenagers
in America
like punk
music. The
punk bands
have improved
tremendously. They have been influenced by pop music. Punk is a late 70s to now thing. When punk started nobody desired their music so the punk bands did not get a deal. The instruments
used in this band and punk are, The
bass drums, vocals and plenty of vocal machines and tuners Guitars (electric and acoustic) and
sometimes the keyboard. It is generally loud, music with a politcal message. Sometimes referred to as garage rock, and the bands often produce their own recordings. This song is about
a lonely person
who is waiting for
someone that he
likes and likes him
for who he is. This
person is a lonely
man who wishes
to standout to
someone Punk rock vocals sometimes sound nasal, and lyrics are often shouted instead of sung in a conventional sense, particularly in hardcore styles. The vocal approach has lack of variety and shifts in pitch, volume, or intonational style are relatively infrequent. Billie Joe Armstrong Born on February, 17, 1972
in Oakland California, Billie
Joe Armstrong is the lead
singer and guitarist. Tre Cool Tre cool born December 9th, 1972 and Joined Green Day as the drummer. He was born in Frankfurt Germany. t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t t Mike Dirnt Mike Dirnt was born May, 4, 1972 in Rodeo
California. He plays the drums. He is the newest member of the band. Green Day began a recording career on local labels in the California Punk scene. They did not want to be "sellouts", and wanted to stay in the local scene. In 1993, they signed a deal with Reprise records, and they were an international success. The album American Idiot was a protest to the invasion of Iraq. It was created as an anti-war album. It was intended to encourage young people to stand up for their political beliefs. the album was released just two months before the re-election of George W. Bush. Green Day also used their music to influence the 2004 presidential election. They wanted to encourage young voters to vote for the Democratic candidate John Kerry. While they did not expect him to win, they succeeded in increasing support for him. Like many famous people and members of rock bands, the members of Green Day are not strangers to drug and alcohol problems. Currently, the main member of the group is in re-hab for behaving badly at a concert in Vegas. The End Award Wins Nominations
