Welcome to Hall Middle School-Seventh Grade.
Write an I Am Poem
Method:

I am (two special characteristics)

I wonder (something you are actually curious about)

I hear (an imaginary sound)

I see (an imaginary sight)

I want (an actual desire)

I am (the first line of the poem restated)

I pretend (something you pretend to do)

I feel (a feeling about something imaginary)

I touch (an imaginary touch)

I worry (something that really bothers you)

I cry (something that makes you very sad)

I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

I understand (something you know is true)

I say (something you believe in)

I dream (something you actually dream about)

I try (something you make an effort to do)

I hope (something you actually hope for)

I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

I am a committed teacher, wife, and student.
I wonder if my students are as excited about the new school year as I am.
I hear school bells ring, pages turn, and students giggling.
I see students with bright smiles arriving to their classes.
I want my students to love school as much as I do.
I am a committed teacher, wife, and student.

I pretend to be a better cook than my husband.
I feel nervous about not completing tasks.
I need my family to feel as safe as I do.
I worry about my pets’ safety especially Maximus Auerlius Caesar Vasquez.
I cry when I see some of the television commercials: abused animals.
I am a committed teacher, wife, and student.

I understand that I am a better person because of my family’s guidance.
I believe that education is the key to success.
I dream that all my students are as happy as I am.
I try to read a variety of books every week.
I hope that I find more time to just ‘chill’.
I am a committed teacher, wife, and student.
