Brazil The Country I chose is Brazil. I chose this country beceause I want to travel there someday..... By. Mr. l3 There are many interesting things about Brazil. Here are some just to name a few....... Landforms - Rivers - The Amazon River is the worlds 2nd longest river. Rainforrest - "a typical four-mile square mile patch of rainforest contains as many as 1,500 species of flowering plants, 750 species of trees, 125 mammal species, 400 species of birds, 100 species of reptiles, 60 species of amphibians, and 150 different species of butterflies."
There are more fish species in the Amazon River than the entire Atlantic Ocean "If present rates of destruction continue, half our remaining rainforests will be gone by the year 2025, and by 2060 there will be no rainforests remaining."
Plateau - There are 3 plateaus in Brazil: Ceara Plateau, Rio Grande do Sul Plateau, and the Pernambuco Plateau Historical site - Cristo Redentor (Statue of Christ the Redeemer Considered the largest Art Deco statue standing 130 feet tall.
Located at teh top of Corcovado Mountain. Bodies of water Atlantic Ocean Amazon Lake Balbina - made because of a dam on the Amazon River Climate - 90% of Brazil is located in the tropics region. temps range from 60 - 100 degrees fahrenheit. Average rain fall is from 40 - 60 inches per year. Population - 191,241,714 Language - The official language is Portuguese; other languages spoken are Spanish, English, French, Guarani and Dutch. Capital Brasilia Map Pictures Flag Five Facts Brazil is considered the leader in alternative energy. Brazil is the largest country in Latin America. It is the fifth largest country in the world, in terms of area as well as population. Shares borders with every country except Chile and Ecuador. Brazil is home to the most species of monkeys. The worlds second largest river the Amazon is found in Brazil.
