Purpose
Used to treat:
pain
tenderness
swelling
stiffness
menstrual pain
reduce fever
headache
muscle ache
common cold
toothache
backache
arthritis
Who Can?
Side Effects
constipation
diarrhea
gas/bloating
dizziness
nervousness
ears ringing
fever
blisters
rash
itch
hives
swelling
Why Ibuprofen?
Ibuprofen is better than Acetaminophen because it fights off fever better, better for menstrual cramps, sinusitis, backache, muscle soreness, earache, and toothache
Directions
shouldn't have more than 4 doses in 24 hours
take with food or milk
if on a regular basis, take at the same time every day
follow directions on product label
take exactly as directed
don't take more or less than directed
Special Administering/Dietary Instructions
don't let anyone else take your medication
keep medication in container it came in, tightly close, and away from children
store at room temperature away from excess heat and moisture
talk to doctor about proper disposal
continue your normal diet unless doctor says otherwise
don't give to a child who has a severe sore throat and/or that comes with fever, headache, nausea or vomiting
My OTC Drug- Ibuprofen
-a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory OTC drug (NSAID) that can be in the form of a tablet, chewable tablet liquid, or drop

Anyone older than 12 years old
Children and infants
Children younger than 4 years old
difficulty breathing or swallowing
hoarseness
excessive tiredness
nausea
fast heartbeat
loss of appetite
confusion
aggression
stiff neck
back pain
red/painful eyes
