Evidence of change in teaching
The way my scholars behave socially, academically, and behaviorally reflect my high expectations.

New Strategies in place:
Musical Transitions
GLAD and Differentiation: small groups, native language, visuals, graphic organizers, elbow partners, cooperative learning, different learning modes, varying assessments, collaborative conversations, sentence frames, realia, TPR, content gestures
Collaborative Story
Daily Newspaper
Picking and choosing elements seen in other classrooms and modify to meet the needs of my students
Module C documented student growth from 70% to 95% of students being able to write a complete sentence independently with less than 3 errors.
Differentiation aided students to succeed in meeting the goal
Next Year
I would like to focus on the follow elements:
small groups
more differentiation strategies
more critical thinking strategies
meeting and seeking resources to accommodate my new group of diverse learners
continue to learn from PD, my peers and community in order to ameliorate and teaching pedagogy and philosophy
As a teacher, I've learned:
There's so much that meets the eye and that is not taught in credential program.
Students and I learn through hands-on application
Essential to be observant and create meaningful relationship with students, families and peers
Show the students and parents you care
Create partnership with parents, peers and community
You need to have some time for yourself in order to continue loving what you do
Reciprocal teaching
Classroom environment must be positive and safe physically, mentally, emotionally
Organization and effective prep time is key
Take the time to find out the needs of students
Differentiation is essential in order to meet individual needs of scholars
Continue to try different and new strategies, keep and be consistent with what works
Effective class management = maximizing effective learning time
Not easy but absolutely worth it
My Students
All have a desire to learn
Are all English Language Learners
Each come from different backgrounds
They each have their individual needs and interests
Each have different external factors and struggles at home
They love working together towards a common goal
They enjoy helping one another, positive reinforcement, and holding each other accountable
Love learning when it is meaningful, relateable and hands-on
They help maintain our effective classroom management.
Love participating in holidays and school-wide activities
