Summer Reading:

Create a reading journal:
Summarize each chapter
Create a vocabulary list includng sentence and definition..
Create a memorable quote list and the interpretation of each quote.
Write a paragraph explaining why you are taking A.P. Engllish 11
Answer the 5 questions.
Submit the Journal in a pocket folder on the first day of school next year.

Create a reading log:
* 20 entries all in one document in which you discuss tone, mood, setting, etc.
* 1 personal reaction entry
*1 theme entry

This is worth 50 points, so you your best writing and analyzing. Bring to school on first day.

Bell Work: Every day we will have a prompt on the Promethean Board. You will need to respond to the Word of the Day with a definition and a sentence, and you will need to either answer questions or write a paragraph using best writing practices. These will be graded periodically without prior notice. Each entry is worth 4 points each.

Make-up work:
Tests and quizzes have to be made up within one week.
Homework is NOT accepted late and must be made up within one day upon your return to school.
Major papers and projects are due whether you are present or not.
