special landforms or conditions that effect climate
The Tundra
there are 4 major tundras in the whole world they are in Alaska,Russia,Switzerland, and Antarctica. There are Alpine tundras which is usually found at tops of mountains
you normally find the tundra latitude in the Alpine tundra is 75 to 60 degrees north the latitude for the Arctic tundra is 55 to 70 degrees north
the zone for the Tundra is polar
The tundra covers the continents of North America,Antarctica,
Europe,And parts of Asia (Siberia)

you will usually find the tundra in cold parts of the world
there are four seasons but according to research the two main ones are summer and winter and they don't really count spring and fall because they only last for very shorts periods of time
the average temperatures during the summer are no warmer 45 to 50 degrees which isn't that warm but keep in mind that we are mainly talking about the tundras. In the winter the temperatures average to about -20 to -30 degrees Fahrenheit
plant life on the tundra is not very common because the soil on the tundra is permafrost the plants don't really start grow until summer when the permafrost melts but not many plants grow because most of them go dormant
there are many birds and animals. There are animals like polar bear, caribou, musk oxen, ect. there are a lot of animals. Some animals migrate on the tundra like musk oxen,Artic fox, snowy owl,and grizzly bears and many more animals in the tundra
As i was researching I saw many beautiful
things about the tundra some tundras attract many
people that like mushers or like racing sled dogs for
fun that mostly takes place in Alaska
The average precipitation per year in the tundra is 6-10 inches
another interesting fact that i saw while i was researching was that the tundra covers about 20% of the earth's surface i also saw that the the word tundra comes form the finish word "tunturia" that means "treeless plain"
there are not many landforms of the arctic tundra but the Alpine tundra has beautiful mountains which is above the tree line the latitude of the mountains are really high above sea level
the bodies of water that border the tundra are the Arctic ocean,Kara sea,Lapetev sea,and East Siberian sea
there are conditions that affect the climate such as pollution from the oil rigs in some tundras also in the arctic circle around the north pole the Northern lights can also affect the climate
killing animals
building oil rigs
very cold during the winter
no plants
it is becoming a popular place
northern lights
very cool attraction like sled dog racing
there are so many pros and cons for living in the tundra I can't name them all but the tundra is very cool place and has interesting stuff
