by H.G. Wells The Time Traveler Returns Traveling to the Future When the Time Traveler pushed the lever forward and headed into the future. He watch the destruction of his home and the rapid change of day and night. The Future When the Time Traveler stopped the machine he was launched from the seat and hit the ground on a field.
As he got up he noticed he was surrounded by green fields and trees with tattered buildings spread here and there. People of the Future Eloi

The only living creatures are large crab like creatures The End At the end of the story the Time Traveler leaves the present time with a camera and a bag to collect samples. However, he never returns.
