There are many art pieces that feature and represent Aphrodite (Venus).

Aphrodite (or Venus, which was her Roman name) was the Goddess of Love and Beauty. She was one of the 12 Olympians. She is said to have been born from the sea foam. She was very beautiful and charming, and in some stories she is describes as being very jealous, vain, and competitive. Her symbols were the dove, the dolphin, swans, and scallop shells. Aphrodite was married to Hephaestus but had many affairs.

She was a very popular Goddess so that is why she shows up very often in today's modern world.
