Week 11 of 35...
Transcript of Week 11 of 35...
Attendance - always a concern
Punctuality - always a concern - but absolutely needs to improve
Not enough focus on achieving good grades - from a small but influential minority
Issues related to behaviour of a small group in lessons
Lack of social/soft skills when it comes to interacting with staff and each other
Ability to form, maintain and grow relationships with peers and people in a position of authority
One of the most important life skills you need to develop
An area where I am deeply concerned about the lack of them from a lot of students
All because of one word...one tiny little word...
Week 11 of 35 - exactly 6 months left...
Time is starting to fly...
Mocks are being marked...
Predicted grades are being worked out...
Discussions are being held...
Questions are being asked...
Concerns are being raised...
All about you...
You need to be able to be told no...and accept it...
No means no...you need to be able to accept that and move on
This is more important than you think - you will hear a lot throughout your life
You need to be following the school rules - you are not exceptions - all the rules and sanctions apply to you as individuals
What Happens Next...
No becomes why...
Why becomes a discussion...
Discussion leads to an examination of every reason given...and a lot of "but"
Then back to why...
Then "what about"...
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
The Lords Prayer
