Energy Transformations By Kioshi Morosin Heat: Conduction: Heat is conducted through matter. Convection: Cold matter falls on heat source, heats, rises, cools, and falls to heat source again. Radiation: Heat carried by electromagnetic waves. Light: Reflection Refraction Light bounces off of a reflective surface Light is split by a prism or redirected with a lens Concave Convex COLORS Colored light is the result of white light splitting into different wavelengths. Colored matter has pigments which absorb all colors except the target color. Truly black pigment would absorb all colors and be invisible. Conversion Light to Heat- Light waves have a frequency that fits almost perfectly with the atoms in matter, thereby setting them in motion, creating heat.

Heat to Light- Heat excites atoms within matter causing a discharge of energy, some of which is radiant heat, but some of which is also light. The End. Good Day.
