What can we Expect from Future Computers?
Many people can't tell whether or not the present generation of computers will change dramatically or even at all! You never now what the computers of 100 years time will be like! They could hover or they could be HD, 3D or 4D? Maybe computers will be a thing of the past, or maybe they will be in-cased in your sunglasses? None of us know, all we have to do is wait.....
The History Of Computers
Did you know one of the earliest computers was called 'The ENIAC'? In 1946, John Mauchly and John Presper Eckert made the ENIAC I (Electrical Numerical Integrator And Calculator). The American Military needed a computer for calculating artillery-firing tables which controlled a number of weapons. For this, John Presper Eckert and John Mauchly both received the IEEE Computer Society Pioneer Award in 1980.

Look at the picture on your right. Can you imagine doing your homework on THAT??
Modern Computers/Laptops
Modern computers and laptops have fast internet, bug fixing programs and even games! They can be small and compact to fit in your pocket, or they can fill up a desk. Our smart phones are a type of computer. They have internet and apps, just like our computers. We have tablets and laptops that can become a tablet. We have cameras on some of our laptops and tablets. We even have apps where you can talk face to face (Skype and FaceTime ect.)!

Many people would say they can't live without the internet. Is the internet an essential item for you?
So What Are The Similarities and Differences?
Similarities:
They are both mostly used for research
They both use electric ( To charge and/or use )
It takes a lot of people ( And brains! ), to build one

Differences:
Our laptops and computers are MUCH smaller than the ENIAC!
There are not nearly half of the wires and buttons on our laptops
