catapult what it does: the catapult is used to launch things into the air. when you release the rope, the arm goes forward and launches the beanbag into the air. how it works: tension is applied to the arm, which is held down. a rope is used to add more tension to the arm. when the beanbag is added to the cup/basket, the ropes are removed. how it works: continued the rope is cut or released, and
the arm propells forward, and the object in the basket is launched forward. materials: pvc pipe was used for the
main body. rope was used as
tension, and screws were used
to keep it all together. mechanical advantage: ma = out/in work done: w = f*d
