Based on the student and family's financial record. Requires the FASFA!
--> Scholarships range from $250-5,000 for a year. No paper applications. All are done online.
Merit Based Example:
Based on a high school student's academic and volunteer performance. This program divides into three levels. The different levels have a specific qualification.
Need-based example
Scholarships for which applicants must initially qualify based upon gender, race, religion, family, medical history, or many other student-specific factors.
A type of scholarship that a college or university awards to students who plan to pursue a specific field of study.
