Q:Where is the robot used? What is its work envelope (how many degrees of freedom of flexible joints does does it have)?
A: The robot is used on every floor surface to clean/ vacuum it. It only does one task and that is vacuum/ clean floor surfaces.
Q: Is the robot multi-functional? if so, what other tasks can it perform?
A: It can basically only do one task and that's vacuum/clean floor surfaces.
Q: How is the robot taught to perform its task?
A: By using specific instructions to do a task. (Clean)
Q:What tasks can the robot perform? What human function or tasks does this robot simulate?
A: the Itouchless Intelligent Robotic Automatic Vacuum Cleaner vacuums. It simulates vacuuming.
Q: What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use these sensors?
A: GPS, Cameras, accelerometers, encoders, ultrasonic, infrared.
Q:Name some advantages and disadvantages of using a robot to complete this task.
A: Its hard to build a robot that can navigate around a constantly changing interior of a house. Supplying power to the robot can be hard. They are very expensive and have safety issues. But they also do a good job of cleaning up messes out of floor surfaces.
Q: describe the impact that this robot has had or could have on its intended audience.
A: It can make it easier to vacuum and clean so the audience doesn't have to do it.
Q:What type of jobs/careers can the robot create to provide employment for people?
A: People create robots and that creates jobs.
Q: Predict and explain how this robot may be altered to perform more or different tasks in the future.
A:Maybe people can create slots for tasks + put information on them on each slot, and you might have to click a button to switch between tasks. then it could automatically do the job.
