Transcript of Energy
By Kayelan Watkins
Electrical energy is the energy in electricity and electrical charged objects and is produced by by an electrical charge.
Chemical energy is energy that is stored in the bonds of chemical compounds and may be released during chemical reactions.
Electromagnetic energy is a form of energy that is reflected or emitted from objects in the form of electrical and magnetic waves that can travel through space.
Because moving particles produce heat, the internal motion of these atoms are called heat energy.
Magnetic energy is the potential energy of a magnetic field.
When work is done to an object it acquires energy. That energy acquired is called mechanical energy.
The nucleus of an atom is the source of nuclear energy, when fission occurs nuclear energy is released in different forms, and it is the most concentrated form of energy.
Sound energy is the squeezing of air molecules when an object vibrates.
The Law of Conservation
States that energy can neither be destroyed nor created by ordinary means.
Energy can only be converted from one form to another.
When energy seems to have disappeared, scientists began to look for it leading to many great discoveries.
For example, Albert Einstein said that mass and energy can be converted into each other. He then showed that if matter is destroyed, energy is created, and if energy is destroyed mass is created; E=MC squared.
Light or radiant energy is electromagnetic energy in heat waves
Energy Transformation #1
The chemical energy from the food can be converted to mechanical energy . When this food is broken down in the muscles.
Energy Transformation #2
When lighting strikes a tree electrical energy is transferred
into thermal energy.
Energy Transformation #3
Electrical energy can transfigure to sound energy when it is used to power a loud speaker.
