At Yale, he studied medicine and political science. After college, he got a job as a consultant in Washington, D.C.
He gave up his dream of being a doctor to found Pinterest.

For January 2012, Pinterest was reported the site had 11.7 million unique U.S. visitors, making it the fastest site ever to break through the 10 million unique visitor mark.

In February 2013, Reuters and ComScore stated that Pinterest had 48.7 million users globally.

Pinterest has quickly skyrocketed to success with more than 30 million users globally and a $1.5 billion valuation.

Over 80% of all Pinterest users are female.

Pinterest has more referral traffic than YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn combined.

You can use this social media application on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer. In order to look at other pins and pin your own you have to create an account and log in. Once you have made an account you can pin things on to your boards.

Logging in is fairly simple. All you have to do is if you don't have an account is to make one. If you have a Facebook account you could also login with that account. Then if you are logging in on a laptop or computer is go to the web address, www.pinterest.com and put in your username and password. If you are logging in on a smartphone or tablet, you first need to download the app. You then login the same way as you would on a computer or laptop.
