FORECLOSURES ON FARMS AND BUSINESSES BLACK TUESDAY (29.10.1929) Crop prices fell 60% THE GREAT DEPRESSION
(1929-1934) The stock market crashed.
World economy crashed.
In ten weeks stocks on the stock market had lost 50% of their value.
Banks couldn't get the loans back so they couldn't give money to depositors. What happened? Farms People lost their life savings
and couldn't afford for luxuries. Banks closed As a result Businesses Demand for goods fell.
Businesses stopped producting goods.
They got no money and foreclosed Unemployment rose.
In 1932 one of every four employers was unemployed.
People was left with no job and no home. Poor people came together and live at shacks on the edges of the cities.

Caused foreclosures of Migrant Workers started on THE DUST BOWL Dryness, heat and grasshoppers destroyed the crops.
