-When people do not have a sufficient amount of food, they lack the vital vitamins and minerals needed in order to function properly
-This extreme hunger and desperate need for food eventually leads to death

-About 842 million people in the world do not eat enough to be healthy
-A third of all deaths in children (under the age of 5 years) are suffering from malnutrition
-By 2050, weather patterns could push another 24 million children into hunger
-Most of the world’s undernourished people are found in Southern Asia
-Hunger can be conquered in our lifetime
