Members

The "sirens" in sleeping with sirens isn't a police siren, but evil mermaids called sirens who would sing calling songs to unwary sailors to lure them to the rocks.
The band was founded in 2009. They have a full acoustic album.
Only one member has left the band- Brandon McMaster. Jesse also screams in the band- not just Kellin.
Sleeping With Sirens wasn't their first choice for a band name.
It's a post-hardcore band.
The band members don't live near each other. They live all spread out in the country. Jack Fowler is "new". He was not in the band from the beginning.
Kellin Quinn - Vocals
Jesse Lawson - Guitar
Jack Fowler - Guitar
Gabe Barham - Drums
Justin Hills - Bass

“The night seemed suddenly defiled by the absence of music, as if the silence itself was injecting a sickness that only another song could cure.”

Interpretation:
This song means several things to me. It tells me of a desperate love, one where there are boundaries that the singer wished weren’t there. He loves this girl, to the point of desperation to do anything to have her. He spills his heart out to the girl he’s singing to, trying to explain how he’s not safe to love, but he needs her. “Please stay as long as you need, can’t promise that things won't be broken, but I swear that I will never leave.” He also speaks of how he forever will be hers, even if he’s unwanted, that he’ll never love another. In the lyrics, “As long as you're here with me, I know I'll be ok.” means that, if she doesn’t want him, it’s okay because as long as she’s there with him, he’ll survive. The singers heart breaking voice and the softness of his words in this song bring out the meaning of the lyrics. This song to me primarily means that he adores this girl, and will never let her go.
