The Trench Warfare is when both sides of the war will dig a deep tench that spreads for many miles.

Trenches were not ideal for the rainy weather the reason why is because after the rain storm the walls would start to crumble and fall so the armies would have to rebuild the walls with sandbags, wood, or any other object that would work for the job.
Trenches were not the best for living in. The reason why is because the soldiers sometimes couldn't bathe for days or weeks. But there was also animals and insects that would come and spread diseases or come and eat the decomposing food scrapes or bodies
When the soldiers would have to wear their uniforms when the were either placed in the support trench or the first line trench.
Trench Warfare was the first part of the defense line up. The trenches were the most dangerous part to be in.
Behind the trenches were the supply line, training area, stores, workshops, headquarters, and then more of the things they used or needed to fight in the war.

When in the trench they would get a warning for a gas attack. A gas attack is when the enemy would first give a signal, the signal would be a empty case and the case would be on a string or a wire. They would give a signal because they were giving a warning to the opposite side. They would sometimes use a invisible gas and the soldiers would know if they smelled a different smell.
