The Bermuda Triangle By: Cody & Matthew THESIS What is the Bermuda Triangle? The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean in which ships, planes, and people are alleged to have mysteriously vanished. ("What is the Bermuda Triangle?") The Bermuda Triangle is a strange supernatural phenomenon which has no certain explanation, yet many conspiracy theories to explain what happens. Works Cited "What is the Bermuda Triangle?" Those who believe Atlantis once lay deep beneath the Bermuda Triangle argue that the remnants of the intense energy crystals that were once used to fuel the city are now interfering with airplane and ship electronics, causing them to go haywire. (Top 10 Bermuda Triangle Theories) Atlantis Many stories of sea-farers abound of huge creatures dragging ships under the ocean to be lost forever in its depths. Time Vortex This is based off a single incident where a Floridian pilot Bruce Gernon and his father are en route from Andros Island to Bimini Island in the Bahamas, when they come across and fly into a tunnel shaped cloud. When they emerged from the cloud they found themselves miles away from where they expected to be and much farther than rhey could have traveled in that time, leading them to believe they had passed through a time travel tunnel. (Top 10 Bermuda Triangle Theories) Aliens It is thought that a downed alien space craft may be lurking deep underwater, interfering with our own technology. Or perhaps the Bermuda Triangle, along with another similarly rumored triangle in the Pacific off the coast of Japan, serves as a portal for interplanetary, inter dimensional creatures. In which case when human ships and planes get caught in the portal at the wrong time, they end up trapped in between dimensions. (Top 10 Bermuda Triangle Theories)
