Good for businesses because it allows for visual storytelling
Posts pictures of braids
Two 15 year old girls made braids and photographed them for fun. It became a business later.
Now they post advertisements of other companies.
Instabraid attracts mainly feminine based companies for advertisements.
Intabraid didn’t use Instagram to promote their business, rather they used Intagram to create their business.
Advertisement posted on Instabraid:
Intabraid charges $350 for each advertisement they post.
Collaborated with a company called ‘Emi Jay’ that makes ponytails
Created their own line of ‘Emi Jay’ ponytails and makes a royalty on each one sold
The 2 girls who manage the Instabraid account were invited to Good Morning America to discuss their success, demonstrate how to make a few of the braids, and reveal their product.
Allows customers to buy different coffee and tea subscriptions, which they can use with the joint coffee shops throughout NYC
Subscriptions are priced at a discount, attracting coffee drinkers
CUPSAPP receives a percentage of the retail price of every cup of coffee sold through the app, while the shop receives the other percentage
At the time of the coffee purchase at the shop, no monetary value is collected from the customer.
The customer will purchase a coffee subscription (one time payment), through their phone.
CUPS then receives the full amount paid by the customer and will then pay the coffee shop a percentage of each cup sold at their shop.
