A Balanced Education
True Education is not merely about focusing on one source of education, but it is about developing the "physical, mental, and spiritual powers."
Development of the Mind
"Every human being, created in the image of God, is endowed with a power to think and to do. It is the work of true education to train the young to be thinkers and mere reflectors of other men's thoughts."
Students should endeavor to become leaders and influence others to develop their individuality.
Development of Spirituality
"The garden of Eden was the schoolroom, nature was the lesson book, the Creator Himself was the instructor. . ."
"True Education means more than a preparation for a life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man."
God's purpose was that the longer that human beings lived, the more they should reveal God's character. All human beings were created with the capacity to to develop and increase their physical strenght and good health.
Just as Adam and Eve learned from God's creation, so are students to learn from nature. In the way science works, in the activity of molecules and particles, students are to see God's signature of authorship.
God wants us to learn in our homes. Every student should learn from their parents. They should listen to the counsel of the each parent.
"The system of education established in Eden, centered in the family."
Ultimately, and most importantly, God wants us to learn of Him and from Him. He is the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
"He opens to us the riches of the universe, and by Him the power to discern and to appropriate these treasures imparted."
