Haring's first major outdoor mural.
In 1986 Haring was the subject of more than 40 newspaper and magazine articles. Haring's work was featured in over 100 group and solo expeditions. In his career Haring partnered with Yoko Ono, Madonna, Jenny Holzer, Andy Warhol and many more.
Keith Haring was born on May 4, 1958 in Reading, Pennsylvania. At a very early age he developed a love for drawing. He learned basic cartooning skills from his father. His childhood inspirations were Dr. Seuss and Walt Disney.

Public Works
Keith Haring spent a lot of his time creating public artworks. He created of 50 pieces between 1982 and 1989. He traveled around to create art for many charities, hospitals and orphanages.

Keith Haring died of AIDS related complications on February 16, 1990, at age 31. The attendance at the memorial service was over 1,000.
