Hazel effected Trinidad and Tobago, Lesser Antilles and Southern America. Also Puerto Rico, Leewand Antilles, Jamaica, Hispaniola and Cuba. It even effected Turks and Caicos Islands, Bahamas, Eastern USA and Eastern Canada. Hazel started on October 5, 1954 and ended on October 18, 1954 13 days! Damage cost about 420 million Category 4 hurricane Katrina effected the Bahamas, South Florida, Cuba and Louisiana(mostly greater New Orleans). It also effected Mississippi, Alabama, Florida Panhandle and most of Eastern North America Category 5 hurricane Damage cost is around 108 billion
(costliest hurricane in US history) Katrina started on August 23, 2005 and ended on August 30, 2005 7 days. Hurricane Hazel Hurricane Katrina Hazel Katrina The estimated death toll from hurricane Hazel was over 1000. During Hazel, the highest wind speed was 150 mph-240 km/h. Katrina caused at least 1833 deaths. Katrina's highest wind speed was 175 mph-280 km/h. Katrina ruined about 204 000 homes.
It also misplaced 800 000 citizen.
