Transcript of Heavy Metal (INTRO) Project ;D

Heavy Metal!!!! Heavy Metal Introductory Heavy metal (often referred to simply as metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and in the United States. The first heavy metal bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple attracted large audiences, though they were often strongly disliked, a status common throughout the history of the genre. In the mid-1970s Judas Priest helped boost the genre by discarding much of it's blues influence. Some examples of Heavy Metal Bands from the 80's Some examples of heavy metal bands from the 80's are: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Rush, Dio, Yngwie Malmsteen , Metallica, ACDC and many more. They all contributed something more than their music, they gave us a new genre that would be loved and criticized for decades after, resulting in the effect of society's modern day taste in music. Introduction to culture and religion
in heavy metal Fans of heavy metal have created their own culture which
includes more than their love of the music and they are often referred
to as metalheads or headbangers. People have outgrew their hair,
attended concerts, bought CDs and more to support heavy metal. Heavy Metal bands consist of many religions and cultural beliefs. Some examples are Judaism(RUSH) and Christianity (DIO) and Catholicism (Judas Priest) and many others. Most people assume that heavy metal rockers worship the devil-but nothing could be farther from the truth-if you listen to heavy metal songs, you will find that they talk a lot about heaven and god.
