The range of earnings for a usual architect is between 50k to 100k.
A slow down in construction generally means lower earnings.

Building inspectors check to see that certain standards of safety and structural quality are being met in buildings. One of their major concerns is fire safety. They check fire sprinklers, fire exits, and alarm systems to see if they are in good condition. About half of all building inspectors work for local governments. their medium salary is about 43k per year.

•Consumer diversity; and,
•Workforce diversity.
Technology affected the architecture mostly. Architects used to use drafting tables and traditional materials to design buildings and other structures. Now, the majority of them use computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Prospects and Barriers
prospects
Positive! Schools are producing graduates at a rate the industry can absorb.
With a number of baby boomers retiring in the coming years, while construction growth increases across Canada, demand for people in this profession is expected to keep growing.

Barriers
One of my barriers is that I fail entering the university of Waterloo. Because, they give you great opportunities for work after second year and I don't want to miss that.
