Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, of 1809 at Hardin County Kentucky in a one room log cabin by Nolin Creek Lincoln died on April 15, 1865 at the age of 56 Religion- Presbyterian Occupations-clerk, store owner, military, lawyer and wrestling Abraham Lincoln was the very first American president to be assassinated Lincoln has inspired us to strive for the better angels of our nature Lincoln had a brother named Thomas who died during infancy in the year of 1812. Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks Lincoln were his mother and father Abraham Lincoln is on the penny and the five dollar bill Abraham was a Republican and was president for four years before his assassination Lincoln had a wife named Mary Todd Lincoln and together they had four kids Robert todd lincoln, Edward lincoln, Willie lincoln, and Tad lincoln but only Robert todd lincoln survived to adulthood Tallest president at 6 foot 4 inches First president to have a beard Lincoln had a vision of his death in a dream Some facts about lincoln In February of 1817 at age 7 Abraham Lincoln went hunting and shot a turkey but felt such great remorse that he never went hunting again. Lincoln Family Time Line In 1818 abraham lincoln in kicked in the head by a horse and for a short period of time is believed to be dead Birth and death In 1820 he spent a short amount of time in a log cabin school In 1824 Abraham does work at neighbors and borrows books and read as often as he could In 1830 Abraham Lincoln makes his first political speach In 1840 Abe and Mary get engaged In January first of 1841 he breaks off the engagement In 1842 abe and mary get married Lincoln and his wife go to see "Our American Cousin" at fords theater at approximately 10:15 p.m. during the third act John Wilkes Booth shoots the president in the head the doctors treat him inside theater then move him to the house accross the street. unfortunately Lincoln never regained conciesness and later died. The assassination Abraham was president for four years one month and twelve day Lincoln is buried at the Lincoln Tomb at Oakridge Cemetary in Springfeild, Illinois. Nickname: "Honest Abe"; "Illinois Rail-Splitter A Life in Brief: When Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860, seven slave states left the Union to form the Confederate States of America, and four more joined when hostilities began between the North and South. A bloody civil war then engulfed the nation as Lincoln vowed to preserve the Union, enforce the laws of the United States, and end the secession. Four things that happened with Abe as president are
