but they also allow us to know what's going on when!

This is a great tip for grabbing your attention during a presentation or reading a passage on a test!
anyone who is 16 and older and officially withdrawn from school;
Anyone who does not have a high school diploma;
Anyone who scores 11.9 or lower on the TABE test.

What are the steps?
Attend Orientation
Take the TABE assessmentents in Reading, Math, and Language.
Consult with an instructor to set up a schedule.
Come to class or study.
Improve on your enrollment tests by retesting
Take the Official Practice Test.
Register to take the GED test.
Go take the test and remember to breathe.

What can you expect?

Basic Rules
Sign in and out on the front computer.
Food and drinks ARE allowed here (just clean up after yourself)
Cell Phones should be on silent or vibrate.
No tobacco products inside the building.
You must attend regularly or you will not achieve your goals.
Negative Influences
If you are doing drugs while you are trying to study for the GED, or any test, You Will Not Progress!!

Regular use of alcohol may effect how will you remember what you learn!!

If you have used drugs and/or alcohol in the past, it will impact your learning! You can still learn, but it may be more challenging.
Court Orders
If you need a letter,give us advanced notice. We will not stop everything and write a letter spur of the moment.
When you want to do something new,
it's a good idea to set some goals
Goals need to be specific, realistic, and positive!

Some Questions to Ponder
1. What is your long term goal?
2. How much time are you willing to commit to it?
3. What are some things that you need to learn more about in order to reach your long-term goal?
4. What employment goals do you have and what do you need to do to achieve them?
5. Can you identify any thing that is getting your way of you achieving your goals? (ex: lack of time, little family support, fear?

You only have to score a little over half (450 or 2250) to pass the GED.

Retake the OPT in the area you didn't pass.

Pay the retest fee.

Schedule to retest at a GED test site.
How long will this take me?
It's different for each person.
We have a full cap and gown graduation every June.
If something's not working for you, let us know. We do not want you leaving here frustrated, upset, or let down. Talk to us, we might be able to help.
Remember, the more commitment you put into your studies, the faster you will achieve your goals.
