Transcript of My Franchise Project

In 1965, SUBWAY restaurants was founded by 17 year-old high school graduate Fred DeLuca. There are 37,881 subways in 98 countries. Subway is a international franchise. Subway offers an equipment leasing program available to all franchisees in the United States (not including Puerto Rico, but including Guam). Subway offers $10,000 of the initial franchise fee under its minority loan program. You must as a Subway Franchisee enter Inventories, Deliveries, and Sales information weekly. Then you transmit this info to them on a picked day of the week. They calculate the Royalties from the transmitted sales. There is a cache for the people who don't want to report as much that is: All of the above happens on the cash register which is pre-programmed by Subway. They do not have people who selects the location of a subway business. However they do have a review process that notifies other businesses that they are opening a nearby business. You are not assigned an exclusive territory for subway. Subway is required to purchase equipments and supplies from other franchisors and suppliers. It depends on whether the franchise owner has complied with the franchise agreement or if the franchisor kept their promises in the agreement. Usually franchise agreements are terminated because of the lack of compliance of specific franchise owners to keep system standards as stipulated by the franchisor. Subway pays for there own advertisements and promotional items. Yes, because there is not very much work to open a subway. only problem is that you have to pay for the advertisements. Then again thats the only thing you really have to pay for. Charlie Garcia
