Transcript of Love Poem Sonnet: Mickey to Minnie Mouse

Discussion Paragraph
I wrote a funny sonnet regarding the famous Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and did a parody- which wasn't a requirement, but it was an option. A requirement was to use atleast one humourous device, which I did, I exaggerated Mickey's love of cheese with hyperbole. I also structured the sonnet in three quatraints, and ended with a couplet which was 14 lines in total. It had the ABAB CDCD EFEF GG rhyme scheme, another requirement, and a sincere tone.
Love Poem Sonnet: Mickey to Minnie Mouse
So long as I see and I don’t collapse
So long as you’ll always be in golden wraps

Shall I compare thee to what all cheese bare?
Thou art more lovely than swiss in wrap

Rough cats may shake the ground and I won’t care
And I’ll not fear, he’s no mouse trap

Sometime too good on the eyes of a mouse
And often is my tummy you fill’d
And without you home be just a house
By chance all I want you alone can fulfill’d

But thy eternal flavor shall not bland
Nor be forgotten and start to smell
Nor shall you turn sour if you’re in my hand
You are forever in my eyes fresh and well
